Limonia phragmitidis
A striking cranefly with pale orange thorax and abdomen and a grey head. The wings have three black spots near to the front edge. The black rings on the legs stop just short of the distal end, leaving pale knees.
Commonly found on shady grassland.
May and June
Fairly Common and widespread across Britain
Fairly frequent in Leicestershire and Rutland.
