7mm. Variable colouring, with the elytra being either brown or black. The pronotum is black and rounded from the head to the elytra creating a more or less continuous outline. Legs are brown.
Grassland, scrub, woodland edge.
May - August.
Common and widespread, especially along the coasts.
Uncommon.
