Remember October 2023 and you may well think of ... rain? How do you sum up the weather in a single photo? How about snails? But these aren't the usual White-lipped or Brown-lipped Banded Snails you're used to seeing. The Striped Snail, Cernuella virgata, is uncommon in Leicestershire and Rutland - easy to walk past and misdentify. Snails - they're worth a closer look.
