Our new records form is now live.

We have redesigned the form to offer a cleaner interface with all the guidance notes (showing how to get your records accepted!) now built into pop up boxes that you can view by hovering over the blue question mark icons. In addition, two new optional fields have been added to the species row: sex and attributes. These will prompt the recorder to add additional details about their sighting. The attributes have so far only been set up for birds and insects, each with its own drop-down menu of choices. The birds menu includes the BTO's list of breeding bird behaviours so the form can now be used in the field for breeding bird surveys. The insects menu lists different life stages which can be important to know when interpreting the data.
