Walckenaeria atrotibialis
Length 2-3mm. Prosoma light to red-brown with dark radial stripes. Male prosome elevated step-like anteriorly, with distinct depression in the middle of dorsal line.
Identification requires microscopic examination of genitals.
A ground-dwelling spider found in a variety of habitats.
Summer
Widespread in central and south-eastern Britain becoming scattered in the north.
Uncommon.
