Stenophylax permistus
Length 18 to 24 mm. A large yellowish brown caddis fly with darker speckles all over.
Ditches, woodland streams and marshes..
April to June and August to November with a summer diapause. It is often attracted to light traps.
Breeds in ditches etc. that dry up at times during the year.
Widespread and fairly frequent in Britain.
Fairly frequent in Leicestershire and Rutland.
