Sminthurinus reticulatus
Similar to Sminthurinus aureus but distinctively patterned with 3-4 transverse bands on the dorsal abdomen plus dark lateral bands which are discontinuous around the posterior end of the abdomen.
In soil and leaf litter
May be found in most months of the year.
This seems to be another newly established, rapidly expanding alien species.
Status in Leicestershire and Rutland not known.
