Description

Adults are pale yellowy-white in colour. Puparia are about 1 mm, oval, yellowish white, often medially with an elongated dark spot; dorsally a number of tubular filaments, each with a clear drop of honeydew at its tip and can be found on the undersides of the leaves.

Habitat

Associated with a number of trees and bushes including Hawthorn, Cotoneaster, Apple, Plum, Pear and Ash and most likely to be found where these species are present.

Puparia may be seen when the host trees are in leaf.
