Scymnus suturalis
Length 1.75 to 2.25 mm. The elytra are red-brown or chestnut brown usually with a dark brown mark behind the scutellum and have long, mainly backward-pointing hairs.
The only similar Scymnus is S. limbatus which is found on deciduous trees in wetland, so habitat can be important when determining species.

Usually found between April and October.
Widespread in Britain, although possibly under recorded due to its very small size.
Infrequent or under recorded in Leicestershire and Rutland.
