Spindle Bracket
A small perennial polypore with densely felted brackets. The felty layer is separated from the flesh of the caps by a dark line. It has no setae (bristles).

Typically found on old Ribes (currants and gooseberry); also occasionally on spindle and other hosts, often in hedges or on garden shrubs.
