Philodromus collinus

Description

Length 4 to 6 mm. Prosoma with broad, dark brown lateral stripes and almost white centre. Legs yellowish grey or brown with black spots. Opisthosoma dorsally with broad median band consisting of large, yellowish white spots.

Similar Species

Other members of the P. aureolus group.

Habitat

On sunny trees and shrubs, including conifers. 

When to see it

Adults May to July. 

UK Status

Restricted to south and east England. 

VC55 Status

Difficult to identify and probably under reported in Leicestershire and Rutland.
