Orthotrichia costalis
Forewing length 3 mm. Forewings with white fringes which form a distinctive stripe when the wings are folded.
Still or slow moving water.
May to September.
Found throughout Britain but infrequent.
Rare - the Sapcote record of 24th July 2012 is the first record for VC55 (Leicestershire and Rutland).
