Orange Peel Fungus - Aleuria aurantia
The orange cups often resemble orange peels strewn on the ground, giving this species its common name. The underside in fuzzy grey -white.
Grows on the ground, often on embankments or amongst grass and herbs at the edge of woods.
September to January.
Usually grows in clusters.
Widespread but not particularly common in Britain.
Occasional in Leicestershire and Rutland.
