Neriene peltata
The carapace has a dark medial band which broadens to cover the head. The abdomen has a brown band with zig-zag edges. The legs are unmarked.
Found in low bushes and in grasses.
Spring to autumn.
It makes a sheet web.
This is a common and widespread species in Britain.
Common in Leicestershire and Rutland.
