Lophiostoma origani var. rubidum

Description

Black pseudothecia are embebbed in the herbaceous stem of the host, which partially break through to the surface as they mature. Spores are liberated through slot shaped ostioles. The host's tidde around the fruit bodies is stained pinkish-red.
