Description

A small 2.5 to 3 mm pale orange to reddish flea beetle.

Habitat

Associated with Ragworts (Senecio species).

When to see it

March to early November.

UK Status

Fairly frequent and widespread south of a line from the Mersey to the Humber estuaries.

VC55 Status

Rare or under recorded in Leicestershire and Rutland which are on the northern edge of its range. The Sapcote specimen of 23 October 2015 is believed to be the first record of this species in VC55.
