Litargus connexus
Length 2.4-2.8mm. Head and pronotum black apart from hind angles, legs yellow or pitchy.

Mostly old woodland where it develops beneath fungus infested bark. It is especially associated with Daldinia concentrica.

Widespread across England and Wales, becoming scarce in the north.
Uncommon or rarely recorded in Leicestershire and Rutland. There were 21 records for VC55 up until 2020.
