Leucozona glaucia
Winglength 8 to 11.25 mm. The black stigma, yellow scutellum, large quadrate spots on tergite 2 and narrow bands on tergites 3 and 4 serve to readily distinguish this species. The markings on the abdomen are normally yellow, but specimens with grey dusted markings are frquent.
Woodland rides, wood edges and other areas of lush vegetation.
May to October peaking in July and August.
Widespread but rather local in Britain.
Status in Leicestershire and Rutland not known.
