Jelly Rot Fungus - Phlebia tremellosa
Young specimens are resupinate and white, but then reflex to form bracket-like outgrowths which are orange-pink with a paler edge. The reflexed growths have a hairy upperside. The underside of the reflexed fruit bodies is deeply wrinkled and produces the spores.
Mostly on decaying deciduous wood, often oak or beech.
Mainly seen in autumn and winter
Fairly frequent and widespread in Britain.
Fairly common in Leicestershire and Rutland.
