Idiocerus stigmaticalis
Length 6-7 mm. Very similar to other species found on Salix, and best identifed from wing venation at the apex of forewing; the apical cell is triangular and the bases of the 3 apical cells are more or less level. Males often show a yellow-orange patch on the outer edge of the wing. Both sexes have hair on the genae (lower part of the face), particularly males.

Detailed examination of the specimen is needed to identify this species. Take photos of side (showing wing venation), top and of the face, and note host plant.
On White Willow and Crack Willow.
Adult: July to October.
