Gonatium rubens
A small, shiny, reddish brown spider.
Found in a variety of open habitats, in grass tussocks, mosses and gorse.
All year round peaking August to October, with female numbers spiking again in April and May.
Widespread and quite frequent in Britain.
Fairly frequent in Leicestershire and Rutland.
