Goera pilosa
Length 8 to 12 mm.A yellowish brown caddisfly with yellow hairs on the wings of fresh specimens. Basal antennal segment is very hairy.
Stony streams, rivers and lakes.
May to September
The larval case is made of sand grains with small pebbles at the sides.
Found throughout Britain, but most common in the chalk areas of south eastern England.
Although there are very few records for VC55 (Leicestershire and Rutland) it is probably under recorded in our area.
