Franchet's Cotoneaster - Cotoneaster franchetii

Description

Shrub to 3 metres with small oval leaves shiny green above, white-felted beneath. Flowers small, pinkish or white followed by bright orange-red berries. There are numerous cultivars and precise identification can be difficult.

Status in Leicestershire and Rutland not known. It was not recorded in the 1979 Flora survey of Leicestershire.
