Euura testaceipes
Adult size: Female: 3.8 to 4.7mm, Male: approx. 3.2mm. Euura testaceipes larvae feed on leaves of and Almond Willow, White Willow and Crack-willow (or their hybrids) causing a spindle shaped swelling in the midrib or leaf petiole. Sometimes more than one gall per leaf.
Gall: Please provide photograph and state the host plant.
The galls may be found wherever the host willows occur.
Summer and early autumn.
It seems to be uncommon. True status is difficult to determine as it is rarely recorded in Britain.
Rarely recorded in Leicestershire and Rutland.
