European Fruit Lecanium - Parthenolecanium corni
Adult females variable in shape, size and colour; usually oval, strongly convex, brown; up to 6.5 mm long, but are often smaller.
On the branches of various woody plants. It is broadly polyphagous and is an important pest of orchard, ornamental and forestry trees.
Active all year.
This species is locally common throughout Britain.
Status in Leicestershire and Rutland not known.
