Dolichopus wahlbergi

Description

4.5-5.5mm. Metallic green. Legs all yellow. Males have the basal segment of the mid tarsus modified into black pennate extensions, looking like a thick feather.

Similar Species

Dolichopus plumipes is similar but has a dark anterodorsal streak down the mid tibia.
