Common Bonnet - Mycena galericulata
A very variable species with cap from 2 to 7cm, grey when young but becoming pale biege as it ages, slightly umbonate with an undulating margin. Gills often well separated with inter-veining between them. Stem (stipe): 5 to 9 cm long; 2 to 5 mm thick; equal; hollow; smooth; concolourous with cap, often compressed or furrowed and very tough.

Common and widespread in Britain.
Very common in Leicestershire and Rutland.
