Clubiona brevipes
Prosoma red-brown with dark brown-black margin. Chelicerae dark brown to black. Legs yellow. Opisthosoma light brown to dark red-brown. Body length male: 4 to 6 mm, female: 5 to 7 mm.
Other Clubiona species.
Examination of the genitalia of mature specimens is required to distinguish from other Clubiona species.
Associated with bushes and trees where it lives under bark and in the canopy.
Adults April to November, immature specimens all year.
Females attach their white egg-sacs to leaves and other vegetation which are normally guarded.
Widespread and quite common in England and Wales.
Believed to be common but under recorded in our Area.
