Cladonia chlorophaea s.l.

Description

There are similar species requiring expert attention to assess depth and granularity of the powder on the fruiting bodies, size and shape of the cups (which are highly variable), size and colour and crenulations of the squamules around the base (even more variable).

Cladonia chlorophaea is now considered to be part of an aggregate group so we have set up this page as sensu lato meaning that the records and images are part of this aggregate.
