Cerodontha (Dizygomyza) iraeos - Cerodontha iraeos

The larvae  mine the leaves of Yellow Iris (Iris pseudacorus) and other related plants. The mine takes the form of a short, white, irregular corridor, parallel to the leaf blade.

Leafmine Adult

Provide backlit photographs of the whole leaf-mine in the leaf, and the larva, and note the host plant.

Wherever Yellow Iris is present.

Leafmines may be found between May and November.

Pupation occurs within the mine.
