Ceraclea albimacula

Description

Forewing length 4 to 6 mm.  Male forewing with a pouch of scent scales. It is a fairly plain, dark brown species.

Canals, rivers and large streams.

UK Status

Widespread in Britain but not common.

VC55 Status

Not often recorded in Leicestershire and Rutland.  There were just 3 adult records and 2 larval records in VC55 to the end of 2019.
