Candelaria concolor
This is a leafy, yolk yellow lichen that may form separate small bushy patches.
Found on the bark of deciduous trees in open areas such as parks and hedgerows. Favours nutrient rich bark. May occur on fences and other sawn wood structures. Can also occur on rocks.
All year round.
Widespread but local and mainly in the south, formerly declining but now increasing again.
Uncommon in Leicestershire and Rutland.
