Broom Psyllid - Arytaina genistae
Length 3.5 mm. This species has wing-venation similar to Cacopsylla species but the pterostigma is virtually absent. The dark streaks in the wing cells are diagnostic although their strength is variable.
Detailed examination of the specimen is needed to identify the species.
On broom (Cytisus scopularia) but it will also overwinter on conifers.
All year.
Common and widespread in Britain.
Believed to be common in Leicestershire and Rutland.
