Bracken Map - Rhopographus filicinus
Rhopographus filicinus is a host specific fungus that forms a series of irregular black lines on the stems of living Bracken and becomes more apparent in autumn and winter after the plant has died back.
Wherever Bracken occurs.
Autumn.
Widespread and fairly frequent in Britain.
Fairly frequent in Leicestershire and Rutland.
"Incertae sedis" is used when a species has not been assigned to a Family in the taxonomic hierarchy.
