Book Scorpion - Cheiridium museorum
A tiny dark red-brown creature. Its back has a series of waved ridges.
Usually found close to habitation, and often inside houses, outbuildings or in the nests of birds that nest around such buildings.
All year round.
Appears to be widespread in Britain.
Status in Leicestershire and Rutland not known.
