Amber Jelly - Exidia recisa
The amber coloured fruit bodies of this jelly fungus are sessile or have very short stalks; variable in shape at maturity and typically 1 to 3cm across.
Saprobic, on dead and decaying hardwood - nearly always Willow (Salix spp.).
Late autumn, winter and early spring in Britain and Ireland.
Widespread but local in Britain.
Status in Leicestershire and Rutland not known.
