Allantus cingulatus
Allantus cingulatus is a mainly black sawfly with a fairly wide yellow band on the abdomen.
Well vegetated areas. It is associated with various species of the rose family.
Late spring and summer.
A local species mainly found in England and south Wales.
Infrequent in Leicestershire and Rutland.
