Agrothereutes abbreviatus
A brachypterous (short-winged) species having a basically reddish colour with a dark final third to the abdomen and a white tip. The hind femora are dark in the apical third and the hind tibia are white at the base. The head is black and the thorax may be reddish or dark. The antennae are reddish at the base darkening before the white mid-section then continuing dark to the tip.
Difficult to assess as there are few records. Those there are come from the southern half of England.
The record of 3.xi.2018 is the first for Leicestershire and Rutland.
