Aceria pseudoplatani
Aceria pseudoplatani agg. are gall mites that cause galls to form on the leaves of Sycamore. The upper surface of the gall is usually distinct and yellowish, with or without a bulge; the underside is white or cream when fresh, browning with age. The gall is seen more frequently than the mite that causes it.
Several mites may cause erinea on Sycamore, and so these galls are best recorded as a species aggregate, following the latest advice from the BPGS. Further information in Sam Buckton's paper, linked below
