Sitona obsoletus
Mid to mahogany brown, 4 to 6 mm long with a short, blunt nose.
Other Sitonia species. Dissection is necessary to distinguish between them.

Various habitats, especially where clover is frequent.
March to October.
Feeds on the roots of several species of clover.
Widespread and fairly frequent in Britain.
Fairly frequent in Leicestershire and Rutland.
