Rhizocarpon lecanorinum
A mainly upland species found on silicious rocks. Bright yellow thallus with distinct black apothecia.
Rhizocarpon geographicum is similar and can be found together but this has apothecia that merge together.
Silicious rocks (acid-based) in upland areas - mainly Charnwood in Leicestershire.

Locally common in upland regions.
