Rhagonycha lutea
A larger Soldier Beetle (8-10 mm) with black head, red scutellum and red elytra with a black tip. As with all Rhagonycha, the 3rd segment of the mid and hind tarsi is not lobed, unlike Cantharis species.
Rhagonycha fulva has a red head.
