Description

Large-leaved pondweed, with oval or broadly lanceolate petiolate leaves with obtuse, pointed or mucronate apex; all leaves submerged.  Can be abundant where it occurs

Open water - lakes, reservoirs, canals, slow rivers etc. - in areas with base-rich soils

VC55 Status

Scarce (Jeeves, 2011).  

It is on the current VC55 Rare Plant Register (Hall & Woodward, 2022) but because of a shortage of precise records, its local status isn't clear.
