Nesoselandria morio
Around 5mm. All black except for orange legs. The head is shiny and lacks sculpture or punctuation.
Larvae are grey and warty with a black head in early instars, the head becoming brown in the prepupal stage.
Aneugmenus padi is similar but this is larger and has yellow not orange legs.
May - September
Larvae have been shown to feed on mosses that have broad lamellae.
Uncommon but widespread.
