Microsphaeropsis hellebori
This fungus produces dark brown to black spots with concentric rings on the leaves of Hellebore species. These become elliptical as they develop and may coalesce and damage large portions of the leaf.
Please provide good photographs and state the host plant species.
Wherever the host Hellebore plants occur.
The fungal damage can be observed in most months of the year, but is most likely to occur from late winter until summer.
Seems to be quite widespread in England, but not particularly well recorded.
Rarely recorded in Leicestershire and Rutland.
