A distinctive species associated with woodchip, with white or pale buff cap and gills and a white stipe with blackish scales.

First recorded in Britain in 2000, probably an introduction (Kibby, Vol. 2, 2020)

VC55 Status

Rare - the Leicester record of 2023 is believed to be the first for VC55
