Shining Hookeria - Hookeria lucens
Bright green flattened shoots with large, oval leaves with a blunt tip. The leaves are translucent and have extremely large hexagonal cells which can clearly be seen with the naked eye, giving it a glittery appearance in sunlight.
Superficially like a liverwort, but leaves are not in two or three ranks, and the cells are much larger than any UK liverwort

Sheltered, deeply shaded habitats including wet woodland
more commonly found in north and west of British Isles
Rare in VC55 - the only recent records are from Grace Dieu
