Moss Navel - Arrhenia rickenii

Description

A small fungus associated with mosses.  The caps are convex, becoming deeply funnelled and with a wavy edge when mature.  The caps are dark grey or greyish-brown, drying to a paler brown, and the stem is pale. The gills are deeply decurrent and widely spaced.
