Stoke Golding parish lies in the west of Leicestershire, close to the border with Warwickshire. The Ashby Canal runs along the edge of the parish.
Stoke Golding has joined the Leicestershire verge biodiversity project and has taken on the management of the Pine Close verge in the village. To find out more, see the Wild Place page links above.

The White Admiral is a rare butterfly in Leicestershire. It is a woodland species, often seen feeding on Bramble flower nectar. Its caterpillars feed on Honeysuckle. This one was photographed on the western edge of Stoke Golding.
