The village of Burbage lies in the south-west of Leicestershire adjacent to Hinckley. The main open space in the parish is Burtbage Common and Woods - a country park managed by Hinckley and Bosworth District Council.

Banded Demoiselle

The Banded Demoiselle is perhaps our most spectacular damselfly. Males, as shown here, are metallic blue with banded wings, whereas females are metallic green and have plain wings.
